Sometimes I hear comments being made that "cleansing" is bad for you and causes you to get really sick, that "cleanses" are doomed to fail because people feel really deprived, or simply that folks are just not willing to even try because they can't give up whatever...usually it's coffee.
Yes, the Nutritional E-Cleanse Program's 23 DAYS TO A HEALTHIER YOU! is about slowly reducing and then avoiding those "nutritional bandits" that rob us of our health, while incorporating more of the "good stuff". My goal in facilitating this program is to teach folks how to do this and then supporting them in making that transition - however far one chooses to take it. Whether its just eating a little cleaner, incorporating more nutrient-dense foods in your diet, or adding a daily green juice, your body will reap the benefit of whatever improved habits you embrace.
I assure you that there are NO e-cleanse police! The program is all done online and I really have no idea what people are doing or not doing! With that being said, I don't know of any cleanse program that doesn't suggest giving up coffee...and sugar...and wheat....and dairy...and so on. It's only for two weeks and often times people end up going longer because they just feel so darn good without them!
It's really all about education, inspiration, great recipes, and fun along our journey to enjoy optimal health. But I always tell people to be gentle with themselves and only go as fast and far as they feel comfortable going. Some people choose to follow the program exactly and others choose whatever is doable for them at the current time. It's not about being perfect all of the time, but rather about being empowered through knowledge and support to make healthier choices, and I applaud ANY and ALL efforts made in that direction.
